Lucy Outtrim holds a bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry with Honors from the Georgia Institute of Technology (2021). Currently, she is a graduate student at Emory University, pursuing her PhD in Pharmacology in the lab of Dr. Dennis Liotta. She has a robust set of connections that span from the entertainment to the biotech industries and has both scientific and creative experience.
As a Team Member, Lucy works as a Research Associate. In that capacity, she conducts literature searches on issues in drug development from a cell biological, genetic, biochemical, and pharmacological perspective. She also manages marketing regarding social media and client outreach. These skills and her extensive network are invaluable to Radyus.
Outtrim has held several positions that support her role as Research Associate. She worked as an Event Coordinator and Production Assistant for PrimeSport (2014-2019), assisting with onsite event operations at sporting events such as Super Bowl, Masters, Rose Bowl, Chic Fil-A Bowl, Men’s/ Women’s College World Series, and the Final Four. She served as an Ambassador at CID Entertainment and was involved in several onsite event operations for concerts such as Lindsey Sterling, St. Lucia, Luke Bryant, Muse, Riptide Music Festival, and Bonnaroo (2017-2020). More recently, she worked as a Sales Assistant at fieldXperience, helping with research as directed by sales on new COVID19 regulations, practices by state, city, venues, etc. for opportunities for wellness program (2020). There, she interviewed students for Wellness Ambassador positions for Boston Scientific and helped create related content and graphics for website, email, and social media. She also worked with Learning Scientists on required micro-lesson development for COVID19 safe practices and set-up and managed the CRM software Hubspot.
For over two years, Lucy has assisted in the management and execution of preclinical drug discovery services and comprehensive scientific and strategic consulting to early-stage biotech companies. In addition, she has helped initiate outreach to academic core facilities, CROs, and private labs. She participated in creation of preclinical experimental protocols and oversaw their execution. Outtrim has a certification in Leadership and Organizational Change from the Georgia Institute of TechnologyScheller College of Business (2021).
